Berat Albayrak, T.R. Minister of Treasury and Finance, evaluated on his Twitter account the growth rates in the second quarter of the year, where the effects of COVID-19 were felt intensively. Stating that the gross domestic product (GDP) resulted well compared to other countries in these troubling times, he said, “Turkey has a solid economy and strong dynamics.”
He expressed that Turkey would end the year on a positive note with its national economy goals, employment-based production, and a citizen-oriented economy and continued, “We are determined to enter 2020 without the traces of the pandemic. We will hopefully see a V-shaped recovery in the GDP data too.”
