Turkey didn’t hold back its support to other countries in their fight against COVID-19

TURKEY SHOWED AN EFFECTIVE FIGHT AGAINST THE SPREAD OF COVID-19. The government closed schools only one day after the first positive case was identified in the country, among other measures. Thus, Turkey responded faster than many European countries. The country supplied masks and test kits to Balkan countries, Italy, and Spain, answering the request-for-assistance call made through the NATO Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre. Israel, the USA, and the United Kingdom were among the other countries Turkey sent aid to. In total, the T.R. Ministry of Health sent aid to 30 countries.
