Full Independence Requires Domestic Production

Global real estate investments in the country allow for permanent capital in ow to other areas
DEVELOPING DOMESTIC AND NATIONAL TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCTS in Turkey and exporting them to the world markets have been among the most important items on the agenda in recent years. In this regard, the defence industry has written an outstanding success story for our country. Indigenousness rate in these fields has increased to around 68% from 20%, attracting the whole world’s attention. However, we can’t achieve total independence by only domesticating critical technologies in the defence industry. Because, in order to achieve total independence, we need to develop domestic and national products in all sectors from energy to transportation, from agriculture to healthcare. Turkey managed the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) process very efficiently compared to many other countries. Many economies that we regard to be “developed” struggled to provide their citizens with adequate healthcare, which is one of their fundamental rights. Fortunately, our country had no difficulty in providing any critical needs even in this scenario.
OUR REAL ESTATE SECTOR NEEDS TO BE INTEGRATED WITH TECHNOLOGY
On the other hand, we find global real estate investments in our country to be very important. Because these investments allow for permanent capital in ow to other areas. What I mean is that an international company or person investing in real estates in Turkey is more likely to make other investments in our country. Turkey’s construction and real estate sectors are strong and I believe that their integration with technology means success for our country in the long term.
WE ARE READY TO SUPPORT
Virtual tours of places and selling real estate in this way are globally used methods. Many of our technological companies have been developing quality solutions in this regard. The only thing for real estate representatives to do is to collaborate with them. We invite them to meet the relevant people for this job. Then we can commercialize and spread applications developed with R&D activities. People need to be informed about living and working conditions in Turkey. Thus, any technological solution to facilitate doing business and living standards becomes the natural multiplier. As the Ministry, we are ready to support projects that include innovation, technology and R&D.
